Executive Profile

Melinda Templeton-Duffy is an operations and executive administration professional with over 20 years of experience as a Chief of Staff, managing the support of high-profile global C-Suite Executives and Board Directors in New York City and Los Angeles in the entertainment, financial, public relations, and restructuring industries.

Ms. Templeton-Duffy has served as the primary liaison between government officials, shareholders, board members, celebrity brand ambassadors, media, clients, and colleagues. She has traveled worldwide to work alongside global teams in Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, and Singapore and has executed management training events in each of those regions to assist with improving profitability and employee retention.

Ms. Templeton-Duffy joined Stein Advisors in August of 2018 and has played an instrumental role in the success of clients during the liquidation, restructuring, and litigation processes. She created and has implemented intricate systems for overseeing contract negotiations, accounting, marketing efforts, and trust management. Ms. Templeton-Duffy collaborates closely with teams to help identify structural fragility and strategize how best to implement adjustments that are necessary in order to meet the constantly evolving demands required to ensure a successful outcome.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Stein Advisors, Ms. Templeton-Duffy provided executive support to the CEO of Illumination Entertainment in Los Angeles, California. She worked alongside the CEO and creative teams in the U.S. and Paris during the script development and animation of The Grinch and The Secret Life of Pets 2 films from January of 2018 through August of 2018.

From February 2016 to August 2017, Ms. Templeton-Duffy served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Board of Directors at Ambac Financial Group, Inc. in New York City. She supported the many functions required of the C-Suite and Executive Board during the company’s rehabilitation process.

While supporting the global CEO and CFO of Cohn & Wolfe (a WPP company) in New York City as their Executive Assistant from March 2012 to January 2016, Ms. Templeton-Duffy assisted with the acquisition of firms in India and Brazil. She collaborated with global market leaders to ensure their offices and employees were on-brand and armed with the necessary digital tools in order to keep them current in the market.

Ms. Templeton-Duffy began her career as a C-Suite Executive Assistant at Kaplow, a boutique Public Relations firm in New York City. During her eight years with the firm between March 2004 to March 2012 she assisted with launching the PR efforts for clients such as eBay, Skype, and Netflix. She was responsible for coordinating new business meetings with prospective clients and designing the event portfolio showcasing the company’s work. Ms. Templeton-Duffy successfully trained and managed junior staff and created an onboarding system for new hires.

Ms. Templeton-Duffy graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Communications and French language.
